Description:
Dr. Henry Wiese travels to the Afghan front, but his wife Helen, also a doctor, refuses to join him and threatens divorce. Their young son, Samuel "Sammi," is deeply attached to the hamster Raffi, a gift from his father. He even has the vet perform costly surgery on the pet. However, on the journey home, Raffi is accidentally kidnapped by Rocky, a recently released car thief. Caught in a web of deceit, Sammi's difficult sister Molly and her kind boyfriend Jochen must join the search for Raffi, who finds himself in unexpected adventures, including a TV studio show featuring hamster door-choosing, which creates enemies.
