Krish and Meera, a young Indian couple striving for success in a rapidly modernizing India, become overwhelmed by the sacrifices demanded by their careers. Seeking a way to find happiness, they embark on a quest for the legendary Great Indian Butterfly. Last sighted by a Portuguese explorer in colonial Goa, the butterfly is said to grant immense joy to whoever catches it. Their journey takes them from the crowded city of Mumbai through the hidden landscapes of the western Sahyadris to Goa, where they lose more than they gain. The search becomes a metaphorical passage, as elusive as a fossil preserved in time.
