Description:
Following World War II, priceless medieval art treasures taken by the Nazis disappeared. Did they vanish during the war's end? Or were they taken by American soldiers? For decades, the mystery remained. "The Liberators" is a detective story about a determined German art detective who searches the New York art world and military archives, eventually reaching a small town in Texas. The film includes interviews with Willi Korte (of "Portrait of Wally") and Texas attorney Dick DeGuerin, exploring the motives of the thief and the current location of the artworks that still haven't been found.
