The title *Final Fling* couldn't be more fitting, given the passing of Big Country's lead singer Stuart Adamson in 2001. This two-disc set documents the band from their early days to near the end of their 20-year career. The first disc features a 1988 performance at an outdoor peace concert in East Berlin, just before their album *Peace in Our Time* was released and before the fall of the Berlin Wall. It's a live electric show played for a massive, excited audience at dusk. The second disc captures the Scottish band back in Glasgow, at the Barrowlands, during their 2000 *Driving to Damascus* tour with The Alarm. Though older, their signature guitar sound remains as energetic and powerful as ever. Both discs include popular songs like "Look Away," "Fields of Fire," and their Top 40 hit "In a Big Country." –Kathleen C. Fennessy
