Hartmanns Jokebox (2015)

Unlike musicians, comedians rarely have the chance to revisit their past work. Thomas Hartmann, a leading Danish comedian since 1996, had been repeatedly asked to perform a show of his best material, but he resisted until he conceived a new approach: updating old jokes, tweaking phrasing, and adding or removing material to create a "Greatest Hits - Remastered" show. After polling his fans on Facebook for their favorite old bits (while retaining final say), Hartmann planned "Jokebox." The setlist, a mix of audience requests and his own picks, proved a satisfying surprise for everyone.
