Description:
"Inshallah, Football" follows 18-year-old Basharat Baba, or "Basha." His father, Bashir, was a prominent leader in the Hizbul Mujahideen. Basharat was just a baby when his father left Kashmir for training camps in Pakistan in the early 1990s. Growing up in the shadow of a long conflict, Basharat represents a new generation of Kashmiris. He's passionate about football and is coached by Juan Marcos Troia, an Argentinean football coach who aims to develop world-class players from Kashmir. Marcos and his wife are deeply connected to Bashir's history and experiences. The film, according to Kumar, tells the story of three remarkable men: Basharat's father, who fought for his convictions; the football coach who traveled from Argentina to establish a football academy; and the young man striving to excel in football.
