This short experimental documentary takes place at the final drive-in movie theater in Los Angeles, situated in the industrial City of Industry. Against a backdrop of smokestacks, towers, and trains, fragmented Hollywood imagery with an apocalyptic feel is re-imagined through car windows and mirrors. The radio broadcast sound clashes with the projections on and around the various screens, creating a sense of disorientation. VINELAND portrays the night landscape as a liminal space, filled with dreamlike illusions that reveal overlapping realities where nostalgia and alienation meet.
