Gowravargal (2010)

Ganesan, an irresponsible young man in his village, pledges to his mother that he will improve himself and find work. He takes a job where he confronts wrongdoers, catching the attention of both a compassionate individual and the influential don, Thondaman. Thondaman is widely respected for dispensing justice outside the legal system, and people turn to him in times of trouble. Ganesan admires Thondaman and develops a strong loyalty, even willing to sacrifice himself for him. Amidst this, Ganesan falls in love with Poonkodi. However, a local Minister’s son becomes obsessed with her. A police officer intervenes, disrupting their romance and plotting to separate Thondaman and Ganesan. But his plans unexpectedly backfire.
