Description:
A boxing match is filmed using a Motordrive camera, and then each resulting print is rephotographed. The images blur into abstract animation as the punches and halftone dots become increasingly similar. The artist created two thousand offset prints from the original film, then rephotographed each one. He says the work reflects his experience of watching boxing on television, where newspaper print surprisingly conveys the sport's energy more effectively.
