A Ripple in the World (2007)

During the quiet off-season at a small resort town, Sam, a young man struggling with an epileptic sleep disorder and feeling unfulfilled, works the night shift at a deserted hotel. He becomes captivated by a beautiful prostitute and resolves to win her affection, hoping for love and a first sexual experience. However, he seeks genuine connection, and finds the most understanding person not in the prostitute herself, but in her transvestite brother. When Sam's unwanted advances lead to a violent incident, a series of unexpected events unfold. These include the intervention of a troubled bully, an encounter with Sam's unusual condition, and the transvestite brother's confrontation with a past he had tried to leave behind.
