Description:
Backgrounded is a comedic short film following Evan Higginbotham, a professional movie extra. One day, Evan and his fellow background actors are accidentally left behind on their way to a film set. They are unknowingly picked up by terrorists and transported across the border to Mexico. Despite being stripped, washed, and confined to a cold warehouse, the extras mistake the situation for an ordinary day of work on a Hollywood set. Will they manage to escape? Does anyone even notice? After this bizarre experience, Evan realizes that his career as an extra has prepared him for anything: Hell is other extras.
