Return to the Scene of the Crime (2008)

The film opens with a series of vignettes: a duck on a leash, Little Bo Peep, and the unveiling of a complex stage set. Each is given attention, and amidst the many simultaneous, intricate events, some are highlighted. While disrupting the original's richness feels wrong, focusing on a single action allows familiar elements to recur in a grand, cinematic pattern. These familiar actions then transform into abstract sequences, shifting in recognizability. A divine figure appears, overseeing the chaos, but is distracted when the audience turns their attention to Tom.
