Description:
This film features Neptune, an automatic track fault recorder, and takes place at Tinsley marshalling yard, with scenes of freight trains carrying cement, limestone, and cars. It also depicts the Reading station and signal box, the laying of long welded rails, the Toton diesel maintenance depot, and new electric multiple unit rolling stock being prepared for service from Euston. The film includes locomotive cab training simulator scenes and activity in the Willesden control room, as well as the launching of the SS Dover across the Channel.
