Giardini (2009)

Giardini is a visually rich 30-minute film featuring two side-by-side projections that gradually build a collection of evocative scenes. The film takes place in the renowned exhibition grounds of Venice – as T.J. Demos notes in his 'Giardini Notebook,' this is where the aging national pavilions reside. These familiar landmarks are presented in an unexpected way, between biennales, during quiet periods and at night, in the shadows of the events they host.
