Description:
This is the first gay-themed film produced in Cuba by the Institute of Cinema since 1993, sharing a focus on homophobia, machismo, and fear with Guttiérerez and Tabìo's earlier work. The story follows Alfredo, a merchant navy doctor, and Carlos, a handsome man, whose initial attraction in a Havana bar quickly becomes complicated and dangerous. Their intense physical connection unfolds in a tense atmosphere, where violent words heighten their sensuality. The film explores a dark question: does love lead to destruction? Veteran director Enrique Pineda Barnet creates dreamlike scenes and characters, openly referencing Fassbinder's *Querelle* and Jean Genet.
