Description:
In 1827, at the age of 21, Joseph Smith, Jr. claimed a divine calling to translate ancient writings that would later become The Book of Mormon. Within three years, he established The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, now a global religion with 14 million members and the fourth largest denomination in the U.S. *Plates of Gold* chronicles Joseph's formative years, depicting the events leading to the publication of The Book of Mormon and the founding of this new worldwide church.
