Description:
Before "Virgin," I didn't believe in cursed productions. Films like "Incubus" had unfortunate events – a director's nephew's death, financial collapse, a controversial premiere – that seemed like mere coincidence. But with "Virgin," there was a palpable sense of impending doom on set. Adding to the unease, our main investor was a high-ranking member of the Church of Satan. Ultimately, we experienced three overdoses, a set designer permanently disabled, bankruptcy, and a bombing attempt. The film itself vanished; not just the prints, but the lab burned down, destroying the negative. All that remains is the first nine minutes and the audio is unusable. —JXW
