Vijeta (1996)

"Vijeta (The Victor)" follows Angad (Kunal Kapoor), a young man navigating adolescence while caught in his parents' marital struggles. He seeks direction by pursuing a career as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force. His journey becomes a battle for self-discovery, both internally and externally. Angad develops feelings for Anna Verghese (Supriya Pathak), the daughter of his flying instructor (Amrish Puri). He must adapt to the demands of flight training, endure long separations from his family, and win Anna's affection, who helps him conquer his fears and reach his full potential. The film explores the diverse backgrounds of Angad, his parents, and his fellow officers – a Sikh, Hindu, Sikh, and Christian respectively – highlighting a multicultural environment.
