Description:
This film follows Shashibhushan, an elderly Bengali poet who has lost his sight. As he navigates his present, sounds – music, birds, city noise, even the click of a lighter – trigger vivid memories of Calcutta's vibrant arts and literature scene after independence. He lives in a decaying mansion with Sarama, his teacher's daughter, and her son Shumon. A visit to the countryside brings a new presence into their lives: Gangan, a blind singer with remarkable talent. A clandestine relationship blossoms between Gangan and Sarama, prompting Shashibhushan to revisit the memory of his late wife, a loss he attributes to his own struggles with desire.
