Description:
In April 2009, a 22-year-old returns to his native Moldova after two years studying in Boston. Protests have erupted in Chisinau, fueled by social media, as people demonstrate against the communist government's rigged election. The demonstrators storm and loot the parliament and presidential buildings, taking documents, furniture, and equipment. While arriving from a friend's house with a computer monitor, the protagonist is mistaken for a protester, violently assaulted by police, and arrested. He is interrogated by a seasoned police major. The film, based on true events, explores themes of freedom, justice, and the value of human life.
