Description:
Inspired by Gianni Padoan's novel, the film follows Tottoi, who moves to Sardinia and becomes captivated by the island's beaches and caves – home to a rare, endangered seal. Exploring these locations daily, he discovers a seal cub and its mother in a secluded cave, charmed by their endearing nature. Tottoi forms a strong bond with the seals, but his discovery is revealed to adults who, believing they are acting for conservation, devise a plan to capture them for an aquarium. The seals' freedom is threatened, and Tottoi must fight to protect them, even though it means saying goodbye to his friends, and help them return to the wild.
