Description:
In the 1930s, Dr. Bartos dedicates himself to treating the poor while secretly pursuing research into human tissue regeneration through transplantation. His former colleague, Rosen, now assisting surgeon Kirchenbruch at a private clinic, dismisses Bartos' work as unrealistic. Disheartened, Bartos accepts an unusual offer from Marion, the owner of a brothel: to perform a face transplant on her lover, Cutter, a fugitive thief, using the face of the murdered Father Hopsasa. Paid handsomely, Bartos successfully completes the operation, but the secret of his achievement remains hidden.
