Description:
Over a decade (1987-1998), this documentary follows the band Fugazi through concert footage and interviews with the band and their fans. Director Jem Cohen's connection to Fugazi's Ian MacKaye dates back to high school in Washington, D.C. The film shares its name with a Fugazi song from their 1993 album, *In on the Kill Taker*. Cohen and the band members spent five years editing the film, which was shot on Super 8, 16mm, and video between 1987 and 1998. The footage primarily captures concerts, interviews with the band, rehearsals, tours, and the recording of their 1995 album, *Red Medicine*. The film also features portraits and interviews with fans from Fugazi shows across the United States.
