Description:
A private developer approaches Mr. Rafiq with an opportunity to modernize his family home, a historic building representative of old Dhaka, threatened by modern urban development. Torn by the decision, Mr. Rafiq's daughter, Ruba, returns to Dhaka from the US after leaving her husband due to his abusive behavior. Seeking solace in her childhood home, Ruba finds herself repeatedly confronted with discussions about the property's redevelopment. She becomes increasingly bothered by Soleman, Mr. Rafiq’s loyal servant, who is embroiled in local power struggles. While exploring her memories, Ruba occasionally observes a man in a neighboring apartment, who then initiates a friendship. However, Ruba’s traditional father actively tries to obstruct this burgeoning relationship, possibly seeing it as a threat to Ruba's future.
