Description:
This documentary tells the story of Quirino Cristiani, a largely forgotten pioneer who independently invented animation, separate from the experimental artists in Europe and the commercial world of Hollywood. In 1917, he premiered 'El Apóstol' in Buenos Aires, the world's first animated feature film. By 1931, Cristiani achieved another milestone with 'Peludópolis', the first animated feature with sound. The film reveals what remains of his work, including a lost interview and two previously undiscovered short films found during the production of this documentary.
