Description:
In Basel, Turkish woman Aische Aydin is discovered beaten to death in her apartment. Her husband, Ali, is the prime suspect, but he refuses to speak and attempts suicide. Inspector Hunkeler is unconvinced. An amulet depicting a couple in a boat found at the scene piques his interest, reminding him of a similar item from a past investigation involving Roma clans in Alsace. People who knew the Aydins say the amulet belonged to neither of them. Soon after, Theo, the heroin-addicted ex-husband of one of Aische's friends, is murdered, and a significant amount of heroin is recovered. This new evidence suggests the Aydins may have been involved in drug trafficking.
