Description:
The god Wotan assigns Prince Sigmund of Valhalla and his sister Brunhilde, leader of the Valkyries, the protection of the Petrified Forest. Vikings, led by the ruthless Hunding, threaten to invade the forest seeking the treasure of the Nibelung, which promises unlimited power. After crossing into Valhalla, Hunding gains an ally in Erika, the daughter of one of Sigmund's followers, who is fueled by unrequited love. She aids the Vikings in attacking Valhalla, raiding their camp and killing many. Vowing revenge, Sigmund pursues them with his men. However, due to betrayals within his own ranks, Hunding captures Sigmund and his fiancée Siglinde, Erika’s sister. Ultimately, Sigmund escapes and, with the Valkyries' help, repels the invaders and defeats Hunding in a duel.
