Description:
In Srebrenica, the Serbian forces murdered ten thousand Muslim men and boys. Many remains remain unidentified and unburied. Dr. Elvira Klonowski meticulously catalogs the bones, storing them in bags on shelves, awaiting identification. Bosnian women patiently examine them, many still wearing traditional head coverings, adhering to the custom of mourning after burial in Islamic tradition. Only those identified and buried are believed to achieve eternal peace. These women, likened to Antigone, hold onto hope of fulfilling their duty and honoring the deceased. Magdalena Piekorz's film recounts a painful story many Bosnians would prefer to leave behind.
