A small newspaper ad in Wuppertal sought men and women over 65 for Pina Bausch's dance piece "Kontakthof." Twenty-six amateur performers, aged 65 to 72, were chosen and rehearsed for over a year before the early 2000s premiere. Lilo Mangelsdorff documented this unique project with a camera, resulting in a moving film that highlights the dancers' vulnerability, enthusiasm, and passion as they confront their fears and inhibitions.
