Description:
The Shatila refugee camp in Lebanon gained international attention after the 1982 Sabra-Shatila massacre. Situated in a poor area of Beirut, the camp houses 15,000 Palestinians and Lebanese people facing displacement, unemployment, and poverty. Fifty years after their grandparents were exiled from Palestine, the children of Shatila grapple with life as refugees in a camp marked by violence, blockade, and hardship. Director Mai Masri follows two Palestinian children, Farah, 11, and Issa, 12. Equipped with video cameras, they share their perspectives, revealing the experiences and aspirations of their generation within the camp.
