Description:
"Rough Book" offers a critical examination of India's education system. Despite being a top system globally, flaws within it create significant problems. The film follows Santoshi Kumari, a teacher who navigates divorce and a difficult relationship with a corrupt income tax officer to secure a Physics teaching position in a school. Her students are in the D division, derisively labeled "Duffers." The story centers on Santoshi's fight against the system to advocate for her students, presented in a straightforward yet deeply thought-provoking film. The teacher and students' internal struggles powerfully convey their message of rebellion.
