Description:
In April 2000, Suzuki Kyoko receives the devastating news that her 19-year-old son and his friend were killed by a drunk driver while walking on a bridge in Zama. Having lost her husband to cancer five years prior, Kyoko's world is shattered. The driver receives the maximum possible sentence of five and a half years. Driven by grief and outrage, Kyoko launches a campaign to increase penalties for reckless driving. She also begins studies at Waseda University, just a week after her son was enrolled. Furthermore, Kyoko organizes an exhibition to memorialize those killed by reckless drivers.
