"Territories" is an experimental documentary exploring the Notting Hill Carnival as a battleground between white authority and Black youth for control of the event's spaces. It examines the Carnival's history as a symbolic act of resistance through a montage of carnival scenes interwoven with archival news footage – from police surveillance to street riots – and juxtaposing glances of desire and alienation between police and revelers, women and men, and men and men.
