Description:
Chellammaa (Geetha), a singer, is married to Prakash (Prakash Raj), a controlling industrialist. Unable to have children, she faces abuse from Prakash and his mother. When he forbids her from singing, she divorces him. He then marries Karpagam (Renuka), while Chellammaa lives independently with the help of a cook, Kokila (Fathima Babu). Kalki (Shruti) works in advertising and rejects the advances of her co-worker Paranjothi (Rahman), dismissing love. Chellammaa and Kalki become friends, and Kalki moves in as a tenant. However, Kalki begins an affair with Prakash and becomes pregnant with his child. The consequences of this affair build towards the film's climax.
