Description:
This film presents a detailed look at Colonel Ryszard Kuklinski, who secretly shared over 40,000 sensitive documents from the Warsaw Pact with the CIA during the Cold War. Was he a betrayer or a hero to Poland? Polish filmmaker Dariusz Jablonski begins his exploration of Kuklinski in 2004, when he was scheduled to interview him for the first time. However, Kuklinski has recently passed away, and at the request of the colonel's wife, Jablonski agrees to handle his ashes. He speaks with many people who were closely connected to Kuklinski, including U.S. intelligence chief General William E. Odom, Warsaw Pact Commander-in-Chief Viktor Kulikov, Polish General Wojciech Jaruzelski, and former Polish President Lech Walesa.
