Description:
Lali Chowdhury enjoys a privileged life with her brother Arun, father, and cousins. As she reaches adulthood, her father wants her to marry. She has several potential husbands – Raviraj, Mohan, and Prakash Khatri – but none appeal to her. Then Arun introduces Rajiv Mathur, a Welfare Officer working in a nearby village. Rajiv, unimpressed by Lali's behavior, publicly rebukes her. Unexpectedly, Rajiv and Lali fall in love and plan to marry, pleasing the Chowdhury family who approve of him. However, on the day of their engagement, Lali publicly insults Rajiv, claiming she only agreed to marry him to get revenge for his earlier reprimand. The film explores the impact of this act on Rajiv and the Chowdhury family.
