Description:
Following the end of the Chinese Civil War in the 1950s and the rise of Communist China, soldiers from the 93rd Division, along with their families, flee southwest China into northern Burma (Myanmar). Their arduous journey through the forest is marked by hardship and dwindling supplies. Eventually, they reach the Burmese border and establish a village, forming an alliance with a local armed group to defend against attacks from the Burmese government. Subsequently, the relocated government of the Republic of China offers passage to Taiwan, but some soldiers and their families, disillusioned with the government, choose to remain in Burma.
