In 1968, John Weiley made "Autopsy on a Dream," a film documenting the construction of the Sydney Opera House and the controversy surrounding the dismissal of its architect, Jorn Utzon. The film was screened once and then reportedly destroyed. Forty-five years later, an ABC producer discovered a copy in the BBC archives while searching for Opera House footage. Weiley was contacted and learned the film lacked a soundtrack – a soundtrack he had preserved for decades. This discovery sparked a restoration project, complete with a new voice-over by original narrator Bob Ellis. A 30-minute prologue, "The Dream of Perfection," provides historical context.
