Description:
Set in June 1941, as Nazi Germany invades Russia, *The Immortal Garrison* follows a group of Soviet soldiers stationed at the Brest fortress on the Polish border. Their plans to return home are forgotten when they must unite to defend against the invading enemy. Often considered the finest film of its type, *The Immortal Garrison* tells the story of the siege of Brest. It was presented alongside another Soviet film, *The Mexican*, during its release in the United States.
