Description:
"Sin Ruta" is a story told from two perspectives, exploring the complexities of illegal migration and social issues in smaller nations. Teo, a gay musician from Guatemala, dreams of America. During his journey to Mexico, he's violently attacked because of his sexual orientation and ends up hospitalized in a rural town. There, he meets Ray, an American doctor who left his country after accidentally killing a patient. Their encounter changes both men, forcing them to reconsider their reasons for leaving home and what they thought they wanted. As Teo questions if the US will truly offer a better life, Ray is forced to flee again after a near-fatal incident with another patient.
