Description:

*White Corridors* is based on Helen Ashton's novel and unfolds as a series of episodes within a bustling hospital. The story focuses on research pathologist Neil Marriner (James Donald), who conducts experiments seeking a cure for diseases resistant to penicillin. He is assisted by Dr. Sophie Dean (Googie Withers), a lady surgeon who is also in love with him. Following a tragedy, for which Marriner feels responsible, the film builds toward a suspenseful climax involving an experimental serum with uncertain risks. The film features a prominent British cast including Barry Jones, Moira Lister, Petula Clark, Basil Radford, Dagmar (later Dana) Wynter, Bernard Lee, and, in a small part, future "Dr. Who" Patrick Troughton.
