Description:
The Goss family lives on a farm they call the Dust Bowl, where the wind howls by day and coyotes howl at night. After a train robbery, the town suspects Cotton and Violet, but there's no proof. U.S. Marshal Lloyd Richland arrives undercover to uncover the truth, discovering the sheriff is corrupt and the Goss family is genuinely kind. They offer Richland and a stranded woman named Mary shelter without hesitation. Cotton believes Sheriff Tatum shot their father, and the sheriff is now trying to silence the boys. Richland pursues the train robbers while also watching Tatum and Mary.
