Description:
Wallachia, centered in Bucharest (now part of Romania), is on the brink of revolution in 1848. Secret societies plot to overthrow Prince Gheorge Bibescu, smuggling weapons and organizing popular uprisings. This initial revolt in Bucharest sparks the 1848 Revolution, a pivotal moment that ultimately leads to the unification of Wallachia and Moldova (later becoming Romania in 1881 and then Greater Romania in 1918, including Transylvania, Bukovina, and Bessarabia).
