Description:
Set in post-World War I Transylvania, the film tells the true story of a nobleman who returns home to find a portion of his wealth destroyed during the power shift from Austria-Hungary to Romania in late 1918. Driven by revenge, he orders the killing of innocent Romanian peasants from a nearby village, whom he wrongly blames for his losses. A Romanian officer from the Romanian Transylvanian Volunteers Corp resolves to aid the villagers in defending themselves against the nobleman's threat.
