Description:
Fifteen years ago, Paul Jordan was a celebrated star of Hollywood musicals. He retired then to marry the wealthy Joan. Now, after relying on his wife’s money for so long, Paul is determined to return to work. A passionate affair with his stepdaughter, Shirley, gives him the courage to audition. His old agent secures him a role, but it's with a small company in Vienna, Austria. The pressure intensifies his alcoholism; the medication he takes to conceal its effects triggers hallucinations. When his wife and girlfriend unexpectedly arrive at the same time, Paul is overwhelmed and unable to cope.
