Description:
Untitled explores an artist's recollection of a house near Algiers. The story goes that the wealthy owners abandoned it during the 1990s political turmoil, and it was then occupied by a terrorist group. The film presents an idyllic landscape created from inkjet prints photographed by the artist and used to cover a life-size model of the house. Actors portraying the landlord, gardener, and neighbors offer differing accounts of the terrorists' activities, their lifestyle, and their diet. They also grapple with the question of why the group chose to live in a house with floor-to-ceiling glass windows. This reimagined scene reflects Beloufa’s characteristic examination of the blurred lines between narrative, imagination, and reality in depicting real events.
