Description:
Set in 1983, *Uitgesloten* follows Jonathan, an 18-year-old raised in the Jehovah's Witnesses, along with his best friend Coen. While navigating the strict rules of their faith, both boys harbor their own desires. They have girlfriends, Marjan and Annemiek, who exist in a world vastly different from their own – studying art and associating with squatters. The boys conceal their background from their girlfriends, keeping them hidden from their community. Leading a double life, they distribute religious literature and perform music for the Jehovah's Witnesses, while secretly attending ska concerts and visiting squatters' bars, becoming increasingly drawn to the worldly lives of Marjan and Annemiek.
