Description:
In 2023, Quito is under the control of military dictator Leonardo Ponce, who seized power in the early 2010s. A group of revolutionaries, led by Marcos and Santiago, are preparing for a coup. Hours before the planned strike, Santiago raises doubts, prompting the group to question their motives. Meanwhile, Ponce at his palace notices unusual activity at the city wall and captures a revolutionary, attempting to extract information. Confined to two locations, *Quito 2023* explores the human cost of the revolution, the internal struggles of its leaders, and the despair of a region without effective governance.
