Description:
Ryuichi Okagawa, a Japanese writer who previously worked as a reporter in China, has been unwell since returning home. While in China, Okagawa met and married Jin-hua, a deeply religious woman. He suffered from debilitating migraines but found happiness with her. However, he already had a wife in Japan, a fact that devastated Jin-hua. After Okagawa returned home, leaving Jin-hua behind, she was forced into prostitution and contracted a serious illness. Wracked with guilt, Okagawa returns to China to bring Jin-hua back for medical care, but she is beyond help.
