Description:
The film explores the heartache of parenthood, even for adopted children in India. Shankar, a minor criminal, gains favor with a gang leader, only to be manipulated into a false murder by his associate. Deeply devoted to his wife Nanda and daughter Meena, Shankar is devastated when his newborn son develops a fatal, incurable fever. His desperate plea for help from Dr. S. Malhotra is denied, and the baby dies. Consumed by vengeance, Shankar kidnaps the doctor's son, Shoorveer, intending to have him crippled and made a beggar. However, Shoorveer’s epilepsy unexpectedly saves Iqbal, who then raises the boy as his own son.
